Over 4 acres of land means that there is plenty of space for whatever outdoor activities you are interested in and the natural pond has been nurtured to provide a beautiful relaxing setting for you to sit and gather your thoughts, watch the array of wildlife or to partake in a spot of fishing!
The secluded location of Nether Burrows means that you can party without disturbing the neighbours or simply enjoy the quiet tranquillity of the country location.
We believe that if you are coming on holiday with a group of friends you should be able to sit and eat together and enjoy each other’s company. You will find that all the living accommodation at Nether Burrows is centred around this philosophy providing large spacious areas in kitchens, living areas and games rooms to enable you to enjoy your holiday without getting under each others feet. Both Willow Barn and Meadow View are fantastically equipped for all your self-catering holiday needs. Each cottage boasts an inviting log burner in the lounge (one basket of logs is provided on arrival) to curl up by on those winter nights. The kitchens are fully fitted with electric hob, double oven, dishwasher and a separate utility room with washing machine. Each cottage also has a spacious terrace with fantastic views over the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
A twin bedroom to the ground floor with separate bathroom provides disabled accommodation if necessary, with three further double bedrooms (two with ensuite shower rooms) and three twin rooms with an additional bathroom and shower room. One of our most popular features are our large games rooms equipped with pool table, football table and table tennis table along with a variety of board games and tv and video.
Meadow View and Willow Barn are each self-contained and sleep up to 14 people, however for larger parties they can be booked together subject to availability. Children are very welcome at Nether Burrows however we do operate a no pets and no smoking policy.
Nether Burrows is ideally located to provide a perfect idyllic rural setting but with the convenience of the city of Derby only 4 miles away and the market town of Ashbourne within 9 miles. Other local places of interest include the stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, water sports, riding, cycling and wildlife centre at Carsington Water, Alton Towers, Crich Tram Museum, Paint balling and an array of appealing Derbyshire towns and villages.
There are a number of nearby villages which provide shopping facilities: Brailsford is approximately 3 miles away and has small convenience shops, a larger supermarket in Mickleover is approximately 6 miles away, Derby and Ashbourne are both within 9 miles and also have supermarkets along with a variety of fashion and other stores.
There are a number of pubs nearby which provide good quality home cooked meals.
Directions
Nether Burrows is situated just off the A52 between Derby and Ashbourne. Driving along the A52 towards Ashbourne, as you enter Kirk Langley take the left hand turn onto Church Lane signposted Dalbury Lees and Longford. After a third of a mile take the right hand turn signposted Nether Burrows Farm and continue up the track for approximately 1 mile. Willow Barn and Meadow View will be found at the top of the track.

A deposit will be required to confirm any booking and the balance of the holiday will be payable six weeks prior to arrival. In the event that a booking is made within six weeks of the date of arrival the full balance will be required to confirm the booking.
All prices include oil, water, electric and bed linen. There is ample parking on site and cots and highchairs are available on request.
